David comes home one evening to find his young daughter Clara unable to sleep. To comfort her, he tells a fairy tale story about her mother when she was Clara’s age. Piquing Clara’s interest, David explains how once upon a time she was a little princess who sometimes also felt alone and scared, but also how she overcame those trials. Although fantastical, the story gives Clara security that her mother will always be with her, and she can sleep.
